These four wines are my current favorites. The Delarche Corton Charlemagne 2005 is one of the great Grand Cru whites from Burgundy. This wine is delicate and with great finesse. Over time, the wine will develop further complexities.

The Martinetti Gavi is produced by Franco Martinetti. Martinetti is a perfectionist, and you can see it in all of his wines. He produces an entry level Gavi and a single vineyard Gavi. We carry the latter, which you see here; it's called the Minaia 2006. The wine is-- simply put-- beautiful. It has a fullness, richness, and great balance. That's the mark of a fine wine.

The Delarche Alex Corton 2005 is the perfect example of what fine Pinot Noir is all about. You have to give it to the French: they produce the best. There's no other region in the world that comes close.

Louis Vallet's wines are very long lasting and take a while to develop, but when they' re ready they are delicious to taste. The Charmes Chambertin is a deep, rich, concentrated wine, and from one of the noblest vineyards in Cote de Nuits.
